Being in network marketing can be HARD. And, some days are much harder than others. You know the days when someone on your team quits, technology seems to be working against you, you’re criticized, the dream prospect says no, finances are really tight, or someone doesn’t see your heart. Yes, those days! It’s in those moments that the enemy starts planting seeds of doubt, worry, and fear. He wreaks havoc on our minds.
Hard days will come, but that doesn’t mean you should quit or give up. Instead, I want to give you tools to help you survive the hard days, so you can get back to pursing your purpose.
#1: Spend time with God
“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”
Philippians 4:7 MSG
God cares about you and everything that occupies your thoughts. He doesn’t want you to do this journey alone or handle this hard day without His presence. So, spend time with Him and let Him know your concerns. Ask Him to speak to your heart and to settle you at your core. Ask for wisdom, guidance, and direction. Soon, you’ll notice the worry being displaced and His peace settling you.
#2: Reflect on God’s Faithfulness
You’ve had really hard days before. And, God has faithfully brought you through those hard days. Take a moment to reflect on His faithfulness throughout your life. How has He carried you through those dark days.
#3: Listen to Worship Music
There is something powerful about worship music that allows me to connect to the heart of God.
Here are a few of my favorite worship songs:
- Raise a Hallelujah – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awkO61T6i0k
- See a Victory- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNd-PbVhnvA
- Way Maker- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJCV_2H9xD0
- On My Side- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4yVprRS3r0
- Reckless Love- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKooXwwk6bs
#4: Reflect on How God has Used You
Keep an encouragement box filled with notes, cards, etc. from people whose lives have been changed because you said YES to God and your purpose! On those hard days, pull it out and read through each note. Thank God for each person and what He did in their life through you.
#5: Create a Gratitude List
Celebrate God’s blessings in your life. Take 10 minutes and make a list of every blessing that comes to mind.
#6: Serve Others
Ask God to show you who you can encourage and bless today. It’s amazing what happens when we take our eyes off our struggle and intentionally bless someone else.
#7: Remind yourself WHY you started.
Go back to the vision God gave you and feel the excitement you had when He first revealed it. God has a plan and purpose for your life!
Don’t let the technology woes, criticism, and financial struggles keep you from fulfilling the purpose God has for you. Do the seven things above, so you can survive the hard days and thrive in your purpose and calling.
